This shape is a performance shortboard with a slightly wider outline and reflects the trend of the boards as they are surfed by many of the top pros nowadays. This surfboard shape has a little more area in the nose and a wider rounded square tail than classic performance shortboards to perform better on modern, technical moves & tricks.
There is also a low - natural entry rocker and a moderate single concave. This makes the board perfect for surfing from smaller, weaker waves to solid and powerful overhead waves.
Once you've had this shape under your feet, you'll wonder why so many good surfers used to ride boards under 19" wide and with a bit less volume. The Ripstick offers maximum performance in radical turns, but at the same time has a wide range of use and a better trick suitability.
