The ring secures an unhooked rider to the bar, but prevents the kite from flagging out on the safety line when the rider releases the bar. Raising the bar for safety and comfort, our HandlePass leash features a soft neoprene cover, non-chafing elastic webbing and heavy-duty 316 stainless steel carabiners. The leash's quick-release mechanism with optimized pin length was modified in 2021 to ensure that proper alignment is maintained when the leash is released for smooth, safe release and reload.

Composite washers protect the deck of the plank and are designed to fit on bolt heads for a clean, seamless appearance. They are also sized so that they are not easily lost during disassembly.

All parts of the modular sonar foil system are assembled with Torx T40 screws. We recommend applying a small amount of the marine grade grease provided in the tool kit to the threads and underside of the heads of the screws before assembling your foil (make sure all surfaces are free of dirt or sand before assembly). This Torx T40 screwdriver and marine grease tool kit is included with the complete foil editions. We do not recommend the use of power tools for foil assembly as they may cause damage (as torque and power control is limited) and will void your warranty.
