threeWave's ear protection loss protection consists of a 0.8 mm thin, very tear-resistant, black PES cord, each with two specially shaped plastic retentions (1), which are completely incorporated into the still soft, uncrosslinked silicone material during ear protection fabrication. After the silicone mass has finished curing, the two EPDM rubber washers (2), which are already pre-mounted on the cord, are pushed onto the ear protection surface by cord-pulling movements as protection against damage, thus preventing the silicone earplug from fraying and tearing. Both earplugs are now permanently connected to each other with the approx. 42 cm long cord and secure each other in this way.
