About the authors
The authors Stefan Strauss (born 1971) and Ralf Götze (born 1966) learned surfing in the early 90s in the south of France. They quickly developed a great enthusiasm for this sport and for the life that is connected with it. The two authors met in 1998 on a surf trip through Central America. Further trips together followed. On one of these trips the idea for a surf book was born. After Stefan Strauss and Ralf Götze worked for many years as surf instructors during their semester breaks, they are now active as organizers of surf trips and spend most of the year on the coasts of this world
