The Axis Wind X2 wetsuit made by Xcel in the thickness 5/4mm was made of limestone-based neoprene, which has the advantage that the limestone has more air pockets than oil-based neoprene and is therefore lighter and also warmer and also dries faster.
From the inside it is equipped with a thermal lining, so that you are kept warm in the right places and do not get any problems even during several hours in and on the water. The suit is suitable for a temperature between 8 and 12°.
To ensure that as little water as possible gets into the wetsuit, there is a waterproof zipper in the chest area and the blind seams are taped. In addition, a neck cuff is available, which also keeps the water from penetrating. The fabric fits perfectly to your body and sits like a second skin, so you have full freedom of movement and are very flexible.

X2 Crossover Neck Entry
The overlapping inner front and rear neck panels (under the zipper flap) expand to allow extra wide, entry.
Xcel Magnetic Zip Closure
Innovative and fast opening zipper features a double magnet on the zipper tab and attached zipper flap, which securely locks the zipper in place and makes it easier and faster to open than traditional closures.
Glued Blinded Stitching
The neoprene panels are glued and then blind stitched. Blind stitching means that the needle does not fully penetrate the neoprene to keep even more water out. The seams are fully sealed, giving you maximum stretch ability of the wetsuit.
To increase your own safety in and on the water, every water sports lover should equip themselves with a wetsuit. These not only protect you from abrasions, but also from sunburn, cold and much more, which could make you lose the joy of activities in and on the water.
If you are unsure how to measure your body, we have created a measurement guide for you. You can find these instructions in the tab "How do you measure correctly?".
Hint:
If your body measurements are between two sizes, we recommend that you choose the larger size.
However, you should make sure that the wetsuit always fits tightly like a second skin on the body. This prevents too much water from flowing through the wetsuit and heat from being lost. TAB:How do you measure correctly?
Hint:
Why should I clean my wetsuit?
Of course, regular and thorough cleaning of your wetsuit will improve hygiene. It is possible for bacteria, mould or unpleasant odours to build up in the worst case scenario. In addition to the hygiene factor, regular care also has an effect on the durability of the neoprene. If you simply hang your wetsuit out to dry in the sun after a session on the water and don't rinse out the salt water and dirt thoroughly, the neoprene can quickly become brittle and cracked. In general, we advise you not to hang your neo directly in the sun.
How should I clean and care for my wetsuit?
Care begins with careful handling of the wetsuit. When putting on your wetsuit, you should not try to force your way into it, as this puts too much strain on the seams. Hectic and fast movements also put a lot of stress on the seams, so they could tear.A little tip when putting on the wetsuit: Make sure your body is dry, then it will be much easier to put on. Neoprene sticks to wet skin.
When you have finished your session, you should rinse the wetsuit directly with clean water. Then turn it inside out and let it dry in a shady and airy place. When the wetsuit is dry, you can turn it inside out and hang it on a sturdy hanger.
Can I wash my wetsuit in the washing machine?
Yes, that is no problem. Just turn it inside out and close the zipper. The wool programme or the gentle wash cycle at a maximum of 30°C is best. We recommend using a mild detergent. To remove all detergent residues, you can rinse again with water after the wash cycle.Attention: Do not use the spin cycle under any circumstances!
An alternative to the washing machine is the bathtub. Simply run a small bath at 30°C and add some detergent, shower gel or dishwashing liquid and let the wetsuit soak. Then rinse thoroughly again.
Small tip: There are also great neoprene cleaners, e.g. from Mystic.
