Until now, if you wanted to completely avoid wax on your surfboard, you had no choice but to glue on a thick EVA front pad. Now, with HexaTraction, there is a product on the market that not only looks very good, but also offers optimal grip at all temperatures, especially when river surfing, where the difference between air temperature and water temperature rarely makes a difference
Air temperature and water temperature rarely allows an optimal use of wax. We have already tested it extensively and are thrilled. Finally a real innovation on the surf market!
In contrast to the transparent, normal Hexa Tractions, the white edition pads are opaque white. This gives new possibilities for graphic design. Mixing transparent and white pads is of course also possible
XXI Century Surfboard Grip & Traction, #nowax #noshit #nomess
High performance glue for best possible adhesive properties
The front pad system Hexa Traction white edition has 20 parts.
HexaTraction RSPro® board grip&traction uses a strong adhesive. If you need to remove it, we advise using a hair dryer or heat gun to slightly heat the adhesive to soften it and make it easier to remove. Especially if your board is painted or coated.
- Easy to install
- Great grip
- Does not change the look of colored surfboards
- Self adhesive
- UV stable and non aggressive adhesive
- Do not install it in a cold environment. We recommend installing it at room temperature. Below 20ºC (68F) the material and adhesive tend to become stiff, making installation difficult.
- Clean the area thoroughly with alcohol or similar. Make sure there is no wax residue. Avoid industrial cleaners.
- Before you begin, lay out the HexaTraction hexagons and choose the best pattern to cover the area where you need grip and traction.
- PRO-TIP: Peel off exactly half of the adhesive layer on the first HexaTraction hexagon to make it super easy to line up with the centerline of the panel.
- Pour lots of water. Plenty!!! It will help to not have air bubbles.
- Stick half of the hexagon on and make sure all the air and water is squeezed out by rubbing with your fingers and/or a cloth. Remove the other half of the pad and squeeze out all the air and water.
- PRO TIP: Press from the center to the edges or from side to side to get all the air and water out.
- Using the white HexaTraction star as a template, go through the deck one hexagon at a time.
- PRO TIP: Align the hexagon with the side where the adhesive surface is attached.
- Complete the layout using the half hexagons if needed.
- You are done. Check all the hexagons and make sure all the water is out. Let it dry (not in the sun) and let it cure for a few hours before going in the water.
