The PG-R is a surfboard designed for performance in everyday waves.
Torq ACT Prepreg Construction
Torq has combined the DNA of the Comp and the Summer 5 to create a board that offers the best wave catching and speed generation in weaker surf, but allows tight arcing turns and vertical surfing.
The PG-R features a low entry rocker, wide 12 inch mark and concave in the front half which enables this board to plane easily and generate speed in weaker surf. From the mid-point to the tail, the outline curves to a more normal shortboard squash tail, with a single to double concave and a vee through the fins allowing easy rail to rail transitions.
The result is a board that will accelerate fast and transfer all the speed into powerful turns and above the lip projection.

ACT PREPREG Cronstruction
Torq ACT surfboards are the world's first EPS/Epoxy Pre-Preg surfboards. The technological advantages are immense, but the most significant advantage is 100% controlled process with ZERO surplus resin.
On any surfboard the resin's function is to hold the fibre in place. It offers little structural integrity of it's own, little flex and little impact strength. As a material without the fibre it is heavy and brittle. Any surplus resin is dead weight - resisting flex, adding weight.
With Pre-Preg process the perfect amount of resin is added to the cloth by machine, before the shaped blank is laid up - zero surplus, zero dead weight.
