Surfboard TORQ ACT Prepreg PG-R 6.2 OrangeRail
Hybrid
Torq ACT Prepreg Construction
The PG-R is a surfboard that offers high performance, even in average waves.
For this Torq model, the DNA of the Comp was combined with that of the Summer 5 to create a board with which you get a lot of waves and generate high speed, even in weaker conditions.
At the same time, it still allows for the tightest turns and vertical surfing.
The PG-R features a low-entry rocker and offers ideal glide characteristics due to its width, with a concave running through the front, so that high speeds can be achieved even in medium waves.
From the middle to the tail, the outline runs into a classic shortboard squashtail. The sinlge-to-double underwater hull and vee in the fin area allows for easy rail-to-rail transitions.
The result is a fast accelerating board that perfectly transfers the speed generated into radical turns and airtime.
6'2 x 21 3/4" x 2 3/4" - 41,3ltr
5 Futures Fin Boxes (Thruster, Quad)
Included: board without fins
Torq ACT Prepreg Construction:
From race cars to race yachts, the highest performing composites are made and processed from pre-preg materials. It is the pinnacle of composite technology.
Through years of epoxy surfboard work, development and testing of pre-preg materials, we have developed the world's first EPS / Epoxy pre-preg surfboard. This is a significant advancement in surfboard technology.
The term Pre-Preg describes a material where the resin is mechanically pre-impregnated under control. Pre-preg composites are cured under heat and high pressure. Baking provides a much stronger cure of the resin.
The implications for surfboards are numerous - more accuracy, less waste, perfect reproduction - But the biggest advantage is in the performance of the main factors to each other: flex and strength to weight.
