Surfboard TORQ Epoxy TEC Chopper 7.6
Cruise with power
The Chopper is a versatile shape - it's a cruisey ride when the conditions suit, but give it a big open face and it will fire on all cylinders.
The clean lines of the outline and flat rocker give this Egg-inspired shape a really smooth, natural feel. In small waves it paddles, glides and trims with little effort. For surfers who like to surf bigger boards it jumps on early in the wave, holds a line in the barrel and pulls long rail to rail arcs in the face.
With the Option of 4+1 fin boxes it can be surfed as a single fin, 2+1 or as a quad for maximum rail to rail drive.
7.6 x 20 3/4 x 2 7/8 48.7 Liter Volume
TORQ TEC CONSTRUCTION IN DETAIL:
Torq Epoxy Composite offers versatile performance shapes in the most advanced epoxy construction.
Uses a mix of traditional fiberglass plies and carbon fibers, which makes the boards ultra-light and -robust.
One Step Ahead
Using optimized composite construction methods, the TEC Range is one step ahead. Super stable, yet lightweight boards with perfect flex.
Control - Flex - Response
In the TORQ epoxy composite production, several layers of fiberglass as well as carbon reinforcements (in the tail) are processed in the deck and bottom. The bottom is also reinforced with carbon in the tail area and also has a carbon strip that extends over the entire length, providing the board with controlled flex and lively response.
Unmatched durability
This breakthrough technology has been applied to the proven TORQ PU / Polyester shapes to get real high performance boards with unrivaled durability.
EPS foam:
Lighter-Faster-Greener
Due to the computer-controlled production of the blanks, there is significantly less waste. No MDI or TDI. Far more environmentally friendly than traditional polyurethane blanks.
CARBON FIBERS:
Stronger - More Lively
Provide the board with higher extensibility than fiberglass. More lively in maneuvers plus stronger in stressed region such as over the fins.
EPOXY RESIN:
Stronger - More environmentally friendly
Less release of toxic VOCs when cured. Stronger than polyester resin. No excess/waste in processing
